A flambe-glazed vase, Meiping probably Qing dynasty, the high shouldered body rising to a narrow waisted mouth with lipped rim, covered overall in a rich purplish-red glaze with lavender blue streaks thinning to a buff colour around the rim, the base covered in an uneven opaque pale greyish glaze partially covering an incised seal mark, 30.3 cm high
