(ii) New Zealand Long and Efficient Service Medal (Lieut John E Barltrop, Manchester Rifle Vols 1896). Granted 17 August 1896. Stagg records medal is 3rd type of which 471 medals issued. (iii) Masonic Lodge jewel or badge, 9ct gold, Awatea Lodge No. 258 (Brother J E Barltrop, 1931).
