A Tang Dynasty prancing horse with removable saddle 618-907 AD This example is elegantly sculptured with a spirited pose and raised foreleg striding forward. the head posed to the side, having painted round inset eyes, ears pricked to alert position and jaw open exposing lower and upper teeth. the chest muscles, legs, fetlocks and hooves are well proportioned and realistically modelled.
