9ct yellow gold mother of pearl pendant and chain, circa 1910 the mother of pearl is carved with a pear and leaf design which is set upon an engraved gold pendant with scalloped edges. Stamped 9ct the chain has a barrel clasp and is stamped 9ct. Note: a similar mother of pearl carving is illustrated on page 57, Gold and Silversmithing in Western Australia by Dr. Dorothy Erickson the piece illustrated on p.57 is by Thomas Ellies, gold dealer and jeweller in Broome in the late 19th century and early 20th century
