Two pairs of sterling silver sugar tongs. 1794 London, with maker's mark for Peter and Anne Bateman. 1875 Birmingham, with maker's mark, Fe for Elkington & Co. The Bateman tongs of elegant tapering form with a part fluted design to the body and ribbed edging; the Elkington & Co tongs of fiddle pattern design; hallmarked. Silver weight 82gr.
