A pair of Chinese polychrome bowls, probably late Qing Dynasty (late 19th/early 20th century), of typical broad form tapering to a raised circular foot, and painted in green and black enamels with a continuous scene of hoho birds, interspersed with peony blooms and arabesques between geometric and lappet borders; with iron red Guangxu marks underside.
