19th century blackwood Royal train table attributed to James Sadler (Launceston furniture maker) This table was made for the occasion of the turning of the first Sod by the Duke of Edinburgh for the Launceston and Western Railway on January 15 1868. The table was placed in the Tasmanian Governments narrow gauge Royal Train serving as the dining table for many decades and used by Royalty until the Royal Train ceased to operate in the 1960's
