An extremely fine quality Republic period bowl, decorated to the exterior with three medallions each depicting insects on plants and all reversed on a scraffito lemon-yellow ground, to the base a Jurentang Zhi mark, which is a Hongxian period mark (1916) and possibly of the period. One tiny rim frit and firing faults. Diameter 12 cm
