A pair of exceptionally rare 19th century Tongzhi Chinese porcelain brushpots, with French ormolu mounts. Canton famille rose decoration of birds, butterflies and flowers, on turquoise background below a pendulum border. The gilt bronze mounts have rope twist upper and lion's paw feet.
