An impressive 19th century French Empire gilt and patinated bronze sculptural mantel clock, 'Daphne Holding Apollo's Harp', the engine turned dial with Roman numerals with snake surround all above a recumbent nymph, surmounted by a lyre harp and wreath upon books, a classical woman Daphne with arrow holding the harp, all upon the rectangular base with bronze plaque to the front in relief with a conforming classical figure and cherubs, the plinth raised on block feet, the movement with hour and half hour bell striking, silk suspension.
