A rare French walnut and brass constant force water wheel timepiece with barometer and thermometerCirca 1900.the front of the plinth with wheel and engine mounts, the glass chapter ring with black painted Roman chapters, blued steel hands, aneroid barometer with glass dial above and thermometer with off white enamel scale to the side, the movement with pierced-out plates, three wheel train and brocot escapement, driven by ball bearings, each ball falling in turn at intervals onto a three-tier ramp and rolling into an individual bucket on a conveyor belt independently driven by a single barrel movement in the base, the latter tripped by the clock movement every minute via linked levers, pendulum & key.
