MAP - Tirion, Isaak. Nouva Carta dell Asia Venice, Giovanni Albrizzi, 1740 engraved map, hand coloured outline and original wash, watermarked paper. Covers mainland Asia and Indonesian islands, also features East African coast and Arabia. Small aspects of the north coast of Australia depicted entitled 'Nuova Ollanda'. Also shows the Gulf of Carpentarie, incompletely charted and shown joined to New Guinea. Rivers west of the Gulf of Carpentarie are named. Text in Italian.
