Irish meat cover, 18th century, with intricately detailed top handle, the three coats of arms engraved on the cover belonging to Ellis Agar (d. 1789), Countess of Brandon, the central coat of arms indicating Agar's rank as Countess, the left coat of arms indicating rank of her deceased first husband, Theobold, as 7th Viscount Mayo and the right coat of arms indicating rank of her deceased second husband, Francis, as Lord Anthenry, bearing hallmarks attributed to silversmith and warden Thomas Jones, Dublin, 1788, weight 21.4 grams.
