Anton Teutenberg's Blickensderfer Typewriter, model no. 8, c. 1907 one of the more uncommon Blickensderfer Typewriters, and heralded to be the best portable typewriter invented and mounted in a polished timber case. This typewriter uses a cylindrical wheel with embossed letters. The no. 8 was the first to boast of a tabular system. The cylinder could be removed and allowed the user to select other font styles (almost the protype of the IBM Selectric of the 1970s)
