A soapstone figure of Budai Qing Dynasty, late 19th century the portly figure standing in a long wide-sleeved robe leaving his chest bare, holding an ingot in his right hand and with a large sack to one side near his bare feet, his shaved head with long pendulous ears and the face with smiling expression, the details incised and picked out in black, the cream stone with areas of grey suffusions, wood stand (2) 16.7 cm
