Bubble Blowing Bear, of German origin, an electrical moving soft bear which features an ingenious motor driven action which powers the bear's arm to which a wire hoop is attached and which dips into the bubble mixture and raises to connect with blown air expelled from the bear's snout. The seated bear's action is driven by an electrical motor in working order beneath the wooden stool. It is believed that this toy was not a commercially manufactured piece but designed and made for a shop display. The electrical wiring diagram to the underside of the stool is inscribed HVH standing for Hi Voltage Hairpin. Manufacture circa 1930s or 40s, height 65 cm. Provenance: Maryanne Wealleans Collection
