The seated bear's action is driven by an electrical motor in working order beneath the wooden stool. It is believed that this toy was not a commercially manufactured piece but designed and made for a shop display. The electrical wiring diagram to the underside of the stool is inscribed HVH standing for Hi Voltage Hairpin. Manufacture circa 1930s or 40s, height 65 cm. Provenance: Maryanne Wealleans Collection
