Solomon Island feast bowl, large scale feast bowl, hollowed with a blackened patina, the carved decorative ends beautifully inlaid with shell. This type of bowl was used in memorial feasts for an important person, and would have contained taro pudding. Length 79 cm. Width 38 cm. Height 21 cm
