Fine tokotoko, long cylindrical shaft, three distinctive manaia heads at top, bottom and middle, with strong facial features, inlaid paua shell eyes and spiral design to cheeks and forehead. Resolved triple haehae and dogtooth notching throughout the shaft, terminating in a tapering tip, handle with circular pierced top. Rich dark brown patina. Attributed to ngati tarawhai carver Anaha Te Rahui, well known for the portrait painted of him by Charles Goldie. Length 80 cm. Width 5 cm
