A fine and unusual ivory, boar tusk and silver plate jug, circa 1900; with maker's mark Joseph Rodgers & Sons Sheffield, the body of the jug utilising the natural shape and inflections of the ivory and with a boar's tusk handle, a hinged lid with a proud lion finial holding a plain shield, a silver plate lining and mounts and upon bun feet; marked underside.
