A pair of French oak Renaissance-style corner chairs, circa 1880s, of typical corner form with carved and pierced gryphon decorated splats, and fluted and foliate pillars below a cresting rail with a mascaron embellishment, carved and shaped aprons in low relief and supported on turned and baluster shaped legs, the seat upholstered in a floral tapestry weave fabric.
