A Japanese Satsuma three piece tea set by Tomonobu, circa 1880, a traditional style teapot of globular form with a side handle and a knopped lid and two small bowls, finely decorated with a central mons (crest) in a leaf design and medallions in red, emerald and gilt upon a cream ground, the exterior of the bowls similar but on a Prussian blue ground; with gilt signature and circular seal underside.
