1.7 cm x 19th century New Zealand historical legal documents, all signed by Sir George Ferguson Bowen (Governor of NZ) from 1867 to early 1873, all Land Transfer documents including 'Parish of Waipipi' 1870, 'Parish of Puniu, County of Waikato' 1869, 'Parish of Onaru' 1870, 'Parish of Pukekohe' 1870, Pokeno, Maketu, Onewhero, Te Papapa 1867, etc. Note: the flag of N.Z. as designed by Markham in 1869 was approved by Bowen. Bowen was also successful in reconciling the Maori reaction to the British rule and saw the end of the N.Z. wars. Sir Frederick Whitaker, KCMG (1812-1891) was an English-born New Zealand politician who served twice as the Prime Minister of New Zealand and six times as Attorney-General.
