A South Australian Royal Victorian Fusiliers silver. Presentation cup and cover, c.1880, by Henry Steiner, Adelaide, having a cylindrical body with engraved foliate, decoration with a cast figural finial of a soldier in period uniform. The cup is inscribed 'R.V.F. Presented by Doctor. James to Y.P. No 1 Company January 1882'. The reverse is inscribed 'Won by private D. Beurs. March 5 & 19 1882', with makers stamp: H. Steiner, Adelaide, and with additional marks, lion passant, and Queen Victoria, monarchs head and Crown. Height 29 cm. Weight 312 grams. Note: Listed in J.B.
