An early 19th century Dutch silver hinged lidded box, long rectangular form with canted corners, the domed hinged lid embossed and engraved with an exterior tavern scene, includes musicians, dancing and drinking figures, the sides with elaborate scroll and checkered engraved and embossed decoration, raised thumbpiece. Hallmarks for 1824. 16 x 6.5 x 4 cm Weight 260gms.
