A 1908 Pattern English Cavalry sword, rounded rectangular section, chequered grip of semi-pistol configuration, large sheet steel bowl guard, skewer-like thrusting blade, chromed scabbard. Length 1090. Note: the 1908 pattern was the last service sword issued to the Cavalry of the British Army and is widely considered the most effective Cavalry sword ever designed.
