Antique Photo Album: leather bound with title in regimental crest to front cover '1st Vol. Batt. P.W.O. Yorkshire Regiment' monogrammed with crown dated 1875. Dedicated hand decorated illuminated title page 'Capt.W.A.Chauncy. Should Auld Acquaintance be Forgot August 1896', comprising of (30) cabinet portraits of military regimental figures, pencil captions (Col.Godman, Maj.Matt, Maj.Booth, Capt.Chauncy, Capt. Manningham, Chaplin Holmes, Surgeon Baker etc). Enclosed with single page history of Major Chauncy & typed extract letter c1896. The regiment is also known as 'The Prince of Wales Own Regiment of Yorkshire'. Lacks spine; some wear externally, light foxing inside but a very nice album. G condit
