A Chinese-export black and gilt-lacquer screen, on a gilt lacquer scrolled stand. Qing Dynasty, the screen with a central panel mother of pearl inlaid and gilt, within pierced key pattern decoration on a carved pierced gilt stand. Purchased in Shanghai in 1920 and sold on behalf of descendants. 246 cm high, 130 cm wide, 78 cm deep.
