A c.1770 First Period Worcester extra large teapot, underglaze blue decoration of florals including roses and orchids to the spherical body, floral swags to the shoulder, florals and fruiting grape vine and bows to the lid. The lid interior rim with some chipping, minor chipping to spout end and hairline crack. Crescent mark in underglaze blue to base. Height 23 cm, diameter of body 19 cm. The pattern probably 'Early Flowering Plants'
