A rare West Australian jarrah two door press, c.1860. The press is constructed with two arch panelled doors, and with three interior pullout shelves. The lower chest, having two half drawers, over two full size drawers, flanked by square architectural style split columns, upon a plinth base, with a rich and warm colour patina. Height 213 cm. Width 127 cm. Depth 59 cm. Note: There is a similar jarrah chest of drawers c.1855 illustrated on page 255, Memories, Lord McAlpine collection, by Graham Cornall published 1990
