An unusual archaistic jade cylindrical jar and cover the straight sides carved in low relief with a broad frieze of taotie above horizontal double grooves and a band of vertical ribs rising from the convex base, supported on three bracket feet carved with further taotie, the decoration repeated on the domed cover centred with a button knop, the pale celadon stone with areas of opaque mottling and greenish suffusions, box (2), 24 cm
