An Edwardian silver tea and coffee service, George Edwards & Sons Glasgow 1902 compressed baluster form profusely chased with 'C' scrolls and flowers, the coffee pot and teapot with hinged dome lid surmounted by a finial, with leaf-capped double-scroll handle with ivory insulators and spout, the body with scroll and leaf framed oval empty cartouche, raised on scrolled leaf feet, the two-handled sugar bowl and milk jug similarly decorated, with gilt interiors, each piece with registration number '306677' and stamped 'EDWARDS & SONS/GLASGOW' to base, height of coffee pot 23.5 cm, teapot 15 cm, weight 65.3oz, weight 1851gms.
