Mourey, French late 19th century the case mounted within a striding elephant surmounted by a female figure relining with a fan in her right hand, mounted on an engraved platform base, raised on stylish scrolled feet, the flower shaped dial with individual enamel Roman numerals, the twin train movement with outside countwheel striking on a bell, movement stamped 'Japy Freres', the case made by P.H. Mourey, stamped to back of base, 40 cm wide, 22 cm deep, 55 cm high
