A pair of Coalport vases and covers, 1891-1920 the elegant tapered bodies painted with shield shaped cartouches of Romantic landscapes of Hawthornden and Dover castle, within gilded borders on cobalt ground with gilded scattered floral accents, the domed covers decorated in like manner, the shoulders and circular foot in cream with gilded decoration, 38.5 cm high.
