A sapphire and diamond brooch, 1930s, the openwork cartouche mounted with a central cushion-shaped sapphire weighing 7.38 carats, flanked by a pair of drop-shaped sapphires, set throughout with single-cut diamonds, drop-shaped sapphires approximately 6 0 carats total, diamonds approximately 2 0 carats total, mounted in platinum, width 6 cm. Accompanied by a report from the Gem Studies Laboratory (GSL), Australia, stating that the sapphire weighing 7.38 carats is natural, with no evidence of heat treatment.
