A natural pearl necklace, and a pearl and diamond bar brooch (not illustrated), 1930s, the necklace composed of a series of graduated barrel-shaped natural pearls, measuring approximately 3.5-2.1 mm, of cream coloured hues, to the paste clasp of cluster design, together with a bar brooch mounted with a central button-shaped pearl, measuring approximately 4.4 mm, flanked by four old brilliant-cut diamond collets, to the polished gold bar, pearl in brooch untested for natural origin, necklace clasp mounted in silver and yellow gold. Length 46.5 cm, brooch mounted in platinum and yellow gold, width 5.5 cm. Verbal confirmation from the Gem Studies Laboratory (GSL), Australia, that the pearls in the necklace are natural.
