An early 20th century silver gilt turquoise necessaire, by Thornhill, circa 1910, the rectangular case of ribbed silver gilt design, studded with circular turquoise collets, the cover centring a cartouche with applied silver plaque 'Annette', within a turquoise collet border, opening to reveal a velvet-lined tray fitted with silver gilt sewing instruments, each accented by turquoise studs and ropetwist detail, including: a pen knife, a bodkin, a thread holder, a thimble, scissors, and a needlecase, to the similar reverse, on four feet, reverse case engraved Thornhill, New Bond Street, London, 13.5 x 7.5 x 2.5 cm, gross weight 360 grams, damage to scissors
