A figure of a coquette in bronze and ivory, by Raphael Nannini, possibly inspired by Violetta of Verdi's opera La Traviata, her hair piled high and wearing a full ball gown, mounted on a stepped alabaster pedestal base, incised signature to the figure and dated (18) 89, 31 cm high. Note: Raphael Nannini, born in Florence, was a noted sculptor who last exhibited at the Paris Salons in 1923.
