A rare pair of George III ormolu mounted Blue-John candle vases by Matthew Boultoneach with ovoid urn shape pale blue-John (Derbyshire spar)bodies the rims with guilloche and rosettes united by swags, with everting stiff leaf cast candle nozzle/finials, the pierced leaf-tip bases raised foliage-clasped circular foot to a square base with foliate swags on bun feet. The inner long thread and nuts repaired and part replaced. Part re-gilt. The quartz bodies damaged and with minor repairs. Chains modern and some replacement pins. See N.
