Rigby single barrel (12 gauge) percussion big game ball gun. 32' barrel. Serial number 9272, manufactured 1845. Address on barrel Wm & J Rigby, Dublin. Back action lock. Watered barrel and rib, platinum plug and breech plug lines. Leaf sights 50- 100- 150 yards. Set trigger. Extensive fine engraving to trigger guard, patch box, fore-end tip, butt plate and barrel tang. Lock finely and beautifully decorated. Woodwork is in good condition showing slight wear, checkering in good condition, original ramrod. Overall condition very good. Described as being an extremely rare and fine collectors item. Contained in a good quality reproduction gun case made to original specifications with accessories of bullet mould, powder flask and cleaning rod.
