A quality Peter Woods silver lidded bowl, circular form with the lid tapering to the greenstone tapered finial, the plain form bowl supported by three short tapered legs with nephrite feet matching the finial, all gilded interior with faint hammer marks evident, the interior lid and base impressed with maker's monogram and .925 silver mark. Height 12 cm, diameter 10.8 cm. Provenance: Purchased from a Wellington Art Gallery c.1980, possibly N.Z. Academy of Fine Arts
