Impressive scratch built model of Renault taxi by Ron Titchener, circa 1980s, blue and cream painted wooden body with black wooden wheels, fine brass Detailing, including headlights, radiator and Handbrake, 36 cm long, Ron Titchener is best known for co-founding famous Australian toy train manufacturer Robilt with Bill Watts in 1946. Titchener was a skilled model maker and was commissioned in the 1980s by Museum Victoria to build a series of large scale models of steam powered and horse drawn vehicles which now reside at the museum.
