A 20th century Hungarian bronze sculpture, 'Republic of Councils Monument' depicting a sailor with arms raised based on the 1919 revolutionary poster and giant sized bronze by István Kiss 1969, this bronze on wooden base with copper engraved plaque detailing 'Hajdú-Bihar Megyei Tanácsnak' and dated 1973. Height 410. Provenance: Presented to the mayor of Debrecen (Hungary`s second largest city) in 1973 to celebrate the anniversary of Buda and Pest becoming one city in 1873 (Budapest).
