A quality 19th century French ormolu and marble 'Amor Caught' mantel clock, the case design attributed to Vion, Paris, the circular enamel dial with Arabic numerals and convex glazed door cover in an ormolu mount, surmounted by a woman with long scarf and Cupid along with with rose garland, quivers, etc., the marble stand and shaped base with further ormolu panels of leaf and cherub decoration, raised on five compressed feet. The movement with hour and half hour bell striking, c.1840. Height 33.5 cm, width 28.5 cm
