A rare Italian plaque by Giovanni Battista Gatti the ebony, ivory and semi-precious stone-inlaid decorative plaque, centred with a rectangular panel depicting a milk-glass cameo of a garlanded young woman set within an elaborate cartouche and surrounded with floral and foliate scrolls, within a mount set with semi-precious coloured stones, above a pediment with finely inlaid ivory, lapis lazuli and a coloured central semi-precious stone.
