Rare kuru pounamu fashioned from glass with hourglass-shaped suspension hole., a number of glass ear pendants were traded in the far north on Cook's voyages (Joseph Banks). The locality in which this pendant was collected is written on an affixed label: 'Lake Omapere' in Northland. Printed on the same label: 'Edward Armytage collection'. Length 5.9 cm. Width 1.5 cm.
