A George III silver wine ewer, fluted vase shape raised from a conforming pedestal base and with a flaring neck with hinged covered mouth with vase finial, plain looped ebonised boxwood handle. Engraved to either side with an armorial: an escutcheon with a negro's head couped, framed by an ermine mantel, azure backed. London 1791 by Henry Chawner. Weight 717gms, height 30 cm
