Extremely rare massive Chinese porcelain vase Largely decorated in famille verte enamels, with the phoenix and peony design, all on a crackled off-white glaze. No mark. A pinkish famille rose enamel on the phoenix' breast and ruyi border. Late Qing dynasty. Good condition. From an old Dutch collection. Note: the phoenix and peony design was common to the Nonya or Straits Chinese porcelain, made in Jingdezhen for the Babas of Singapore and the Malacca Straits regions. Height 55 cm.
