Meissen style, rare pair of 19th century German musical figures. modelled as a seated cross-legged oriental gentleman and a lady each with moveable hands, tongue and head and wearing hand-painted Chinese robes. Each figure perched on a blue velour cushion base which holds the musical movement. The movement playing 2 airs causing the head to rock, the tongue to protrude and the hands to move. remains of a paper label to the base.
