Rare Edwardian mahogany elevated bureau desk 'The Eclipse', London, Brand patent No. s 27871 and 7254. The envelope top open and mechanism raises a lift top writing slope and multi section compartment which elevates when writing slope is slid forward. Beneath are three drawers to one side and three false drawer fronts on the other. Writing slope and opened top on both sides have leather insert surfaces. Dimensions when opened: 104 cm wide, 61 cm deep,93 cm high
