A rare and early English provincial Apostle spoon made in Exeter, c.1685, the apostle finial with discoid nimbus, traditionally depicted with a flowing robe and traces of original gilding. 17th century pricked initials 'S.E.' and date '1695' to back of bowl and 18th century scroll engraved presentation initials to back of stem.
